[IPR Committee News]EUCCK-KIPO Meeting on "Online IPR Infringement" |
The Korea IP Office and the EUCCK IPR Committee will be holding the second working level meeting on “Online IPR Infringement” during the third week of July to follow up on the some of the discussions on the possibility of ‘establishing a damage relief system against online trademark infringement or revising the current legal framework to provide a stronger legal basis for trademark owners to file civil suits against online service providers and to apply for provisional disposition against ISPs which oversee the transaction of counterfeit goods distributed on their sites. Establishing a separate private-public organization that focuses on handling online infringement cases and co-organizing public awareness activities were mentioned during the last meeting held in May.
