The EU-Korea FTA was initialised during October and the full text of the agreement is now available online.


 
Luncheon Meeting with Director Cho, KCS
 
  The next EUCCK IPR Committee will take place on Wednesday 4 November at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Seoul. Registration for the luncheon meeting begin from 1130, and the presentation will be given by Mr CHO, Hoon-Goo, Director of the Investigation Planning Division at the Korea Customs Service.
 
 
EPO Visit to Korea
 
  A delegation from the European Patent Office (EPO) visited Seoul during October and met with representatives from a number of EUCCK member companies.
 
 
EUCCK-Yulchon Renew Partnership Agreement
 
 
The EUCCK IPR Committee is pleased to announce the renewal of the legal council partnership with Yulchon Law Firm.
 
 
Busan Meeting Proposed for Early 2010
 
 
The EUCCK is currently planning a meeting in Busan in early 2010 in order to promote the Committee's activities to the Busan membership.
 
 
New EUCCK IPR Committee Director Appointed
 
 
Beginning in October 2009, Mr. Tom Duke will replace Mr. Ha, Seung-Yeop as the full-time director of the EUCCK IPR Committee. Mr. Duke is currently organising introductory meetings with IPR Committee members. Please see below for the EUCCK press release announcing the new appointment:
 
 

Fake-Zero Project raised by KCS at North East Asian Customs Talks  
  The head of the Korea Customs Service, Mr. Hur, Yongsuk, joined his counterparts from China and Japan in a tripartite forum in Beijing at the end of September.
