To protect the value of innovation and creativity at cyberspace, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in Korea held a luncheon meeting with Korean Government and Association, Foreign Companies working in Korea on the 4th day, March at Namsan II, Grand Hyatt Hotel.


EUCCK IPRs lead Local Market Access Team  
  The Member States' embassies of the European Union and the European Commission Delegation to Korea have nominated the EUCCK to lead Market Access Team working group on Intellectual Property Rights. This is one of the 8 working groups established on March 17th under the Market Access Team (MAT) in Korea.
 
 
GI Protection Agreement of Kor-EU FTA  
  The 8th and final official round of the Korea - European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations ended on the 24th day March.

MCST Action Plan to Combat against Online Piracy
 
  MCST announced ¡°Enforcement Planning against Piracy¡± to enrich transparent transactions of copyright and boost the cultural creative works. Specifically, they will intensify the blocking the piracy circulation at cyberspace by monitoring on 24/7 basis with backed by piracy tracking system.
 
 
KCS : Genuine-Counterfeit Comparison Exhibition
 
  Korea Customs Service hosts the bi-annual "Genuine-Counterfeit Comparison Exhibition" by aiming to raise awareness on IPR and inform the damage of counterfeit to ordinary people.
