  The European Union Chamber of Commerce in Korea (www.eucck.org) holds a luncheon meeting with KIPO and foreign companies operating in Korea on May 15th, at Namsan II, Grand Hyatt Hotel.

  EUCCK IPR Committee will join the 2009 Information Fair on May 10th(Sunday) May conduct a campaign to raise public awareness of counterfeitng and its social & economic harm and to expedite the environment where innovation and creativity are respected.
 
P&G joins EUCCK IPR Committee
 
  The EUCCK IPR Committee welcomes Procter & Gamble Korea S&D, Co. The P&G consists of over 138,000 employees working in over 80 countries worldwide. What began as a small, family-operated soap and candle company now provides products and services of superior quality and value to consumers in over 180 countries.
 
 
 
Bills on Consumer Protection at e-Commerce
 
  Mr. JG Lee, a member of the 18th National Assembly, has initiated the bills on liability of open market on the 1st day of April. According to this bill, only authorized sellers can upload the transaction item at openmarket and we could expect this contribute for minimizing consumer damage at e-commerce. Because this bills could prevent the abuses of third parties' social identification number by the unauthorized uploaders of trading goods.
 
 
Whiskey Knockoff Manufacturing Center Exposed
 
  NTS had a clampdown on whiskey counterfeit manufacturing center and seizured 605 knockoffs of well known 17years whiskey as well as manufacturing equipment.
