The EUCCK IP Centre has developed and published materials for use in anti-counterfeiting campaigns in Korea.
The first set of materials focus on a criminality theme, and shall be used initially to build consensus among industry members and government partners.

 
EUCCK IP Centre Director Interviewed for IP Article
 
  EUCCK IP Centre Director Mr Tom Duke was interviewed for an article in the English language newspaper the Korea Times.
 
 
IP Managers' Programme 2010
 
  The EUCCK IP Centre organised a programme of activities for IP managers in Korea at the end of October 2010. The meetings built on the activities of the IP Centre over recent months, and aimed to make tangible progress towards the common IP protection goals of EUCCK members.
 
 
EUCCK-MCST Copyright Roundtable
 
 
The Copyright Policy Division from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST), the EUCCK IP Centre, the EU Delegation in Korea and representatives of EU member states met for a roundtable discussion on copyright issues.
 
 
New EUCCK Website Online
 
 
The New EUCCK website was unveiled in October, and it now features a page for the Brand Protection Committee:

The site contains sections for forthcoming event details, meeting reports, reference documents and other information.

KIPO Releases 2010 Q3 IP Data  
  The Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) have released third quarter IP data on their new website.
 
 
KFTC ITC Investigation  
  The Korean Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) recently announced an investigation into possible IP abuses in the ICT industry. The scope of the investigation is broad, and covers a number of industry segments, incorporating domestic and overseas enterprises.
 
 
KIPO Expanded Enforcement Activities Begin  
  Starting from August 1, 2010, the IP enforcement powers of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) were extended. Previously working in cooperation with public prosecutors in a number of regional centres around the country, KIPO is now expanding the training of internal investigation and enforcement teams.
